It's July..Baseball is all that is on.. This sucks
Not to worry, Tom. Football is on the horizon. There is always the British Open this weekend, too, if you're in the mood to take a midday nap due to sheer boredom from actually watching grass grow. However, I would rather watch a golf tournament than sit through an average Wednesday night baseball game. Sports Center can pack an entire night of baseball into 30 minutes of highlights and that's pushing my attentional limits. During football season, though, I have no problem watching Podunk State square off in a heated battle with Shittsville University on a Thursday night, because football is football and it is worth watching even the worst "athletes" smack into each other for a few hours.
ReplyDeleteCoincidentally, I just finished a conversation with two doos at work about football season and the anticipation around it. The conclusion of the conversation was that we are excited. Enthralling stuff.

Yes there is in fact something better than a noon kickoff with a cocktail in hand. It is a 9 PST kickoff with a cocktail in hand.
